Our commitment is to support the physical and mental health and well-being of School Leaders.
School leadership is challenging and it can take its toll, physically and mentally. Long days lacking a pattern can make maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise and diet almost impossible. The endless high-level strategic thinking and decision making can impact on sleep patterns and mental well-being.
Who is BootcampED for?
Headteachers, Trust Leaders and senior school leaders, who want to maintain a good level of physical and mental health.
Especially, but not exclusively, if you feel:
· As though you are running on empty
· Concerned about your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing
· Overwhelmed by the demands of your role.
We provide you with space (time and place) to invest in your physical and mental well-being. Over the course of this weekend you will participate in
· A series of High Intensity Interval Training sessions (don't be intimidated by the title these will be matched to your ability)
· Daily long, slow-burn Sessions
· Mobilisation and flexibility Sessions
· Coaching and positive psychology
· Guided Relaxation
· Self-reflection - Identifying barriers and developing resilience
· Education debate and discussion - School specific and system wide interest areas
· Dietary planning for a hectic and atypical academic schedule
· Networking with like-minded educationalists
During the weekend you will make a serious investment in your personal physical and mental health. Additionally, at the end of the weekend you will leave having developed an individual action plan that will help you to sustain your health, including:
· Easy to access exercises to maintain physical fitness during a busy school year
· Easy to prepare, nutritionally valuable, breakfasts, snacks and late-night meals
